In 1374, Behshahr Industries Development Company bought the shares of Sanat and Mine Bank and with the development of the factory, its nominal capacity increased from 750 tons to 1100 tons of beets and from 130 tons of raw sugar to 470 tons per day. It is thought that the day and night production line consumes 1200 tons of sugar beet and refines about 600 tons of raw sugar, which is more than the nominal capacity of the factory. One of the distinguishing features of Shahroud Sugar Factory is its geographical location, which makes the transportation cost affordable and the investor is more willing to refine raw sugar in this factory.
