In 1344, Sanat and Mine Bank and the Plan and Budget Organization took action to build a 1,000-ton sugar factory in Neyshabur, and its establishment license was received from the Ministry of Industries. On March 31, 1345, a company called Neishabur Sugar Company was established with a capital of 225 million Rials and was registered in the Neishabur Registry Office, and became a public stock in 1350. In 1348, in line with the development of the factory, the capacity was increased to 1,500 tons of beets. Subsequently, in 2004, the capacity was increased to the consumption of 3,000 tons of beets per day, and the production of sugar from beets to the amount of 52,200 tons, as well as the refining of raw sugar to the amount of 128,800 tons per year.
