Margarine vegetable oil production company was established in 1332 with the capacity to purify 8 tons of vegetable oil per day. The product of this company was also released to the market for the first time under the brand name "Rooster". After a few years of the Margarine Company's activity, the Lajordi family joined the shareholders of the company by purchasing 49% of the Margarine Company's shares, and this continued until 1357. This company was covered by the National Industries Organization of Iran since 1359 and was managed by the government managers of the National Industries Organization of Iran until the end of 1371. In 1371, more than 63% of Margarine Company's shares were transferred to Behshahr Industries Development Holding. From that date, the Margarine Company was removed from the coverage of the National Industries Organization of Iran, and the directors elected by the general meetings of the company started to manage this group based on the commercial law. Margarine company decided to increase production in 1372 and in 1376 increased its oil production capacity from 200 tons per day to 400 tons per day and in the second phase of the development plan, the company's capacity increased to 1 thousand tons per day in 1379. . In 2013, Behshahr Industries Development Holding started its business cooperation with Safolai Company of Saudi Arabia and a company named "Safolai Behshahr" increased and the share of Behshahr Industries Development decreased to 20%.
